The WWCGS meetings are held on the third Monday of the month, from September through May, except February (which meets on an alternate date), in the Livonia Civic Park Senior Center Building, 15218 Farmington Road (North of the former Court House and just South of Five Mile Road) Livonia, Michigan 48154. Parking is available behind the building. There is no meeting in December, but a Holiday Party is planned.
Our typical meeting schedule is:
5:30 PM Bring your own dinner and enjoy genealogical conversation with other members.
6:15 PM Announcements and a presentation on a genealogy topic by one of our members.
7:30 PM Our Keynote speaker will present an informative and interesting genealogical research topic.
Note: Due to inclement weather conditions, or City Holidays, the Senior Center may be closed.
During the winter, if Livonia Public Schools are closed, then the Livonia Senior Center will also be closed.
If this should happen, the meeting is canceled and the date changed. Attempts will be made to notify the members via our web site and/or by email.
The WWCGS meetings are open to the public and are free of charge. All are welcome to attend and share their interest in genealogy and history. Open to all ages and levels of genealogical experience.
Exit I-96 at Farmington Road. Go north, about 3/4 of a mile, to Civic Center Drive, (just north of Livonia Police Department) turn right. Turn left at the 1st drive.
