Topic: “Who You Gonna Call? WIKIs in Family History” presented by Thomas Koselka
Description: When we answer one research question, one or more new questions arise. How do we handle all the research locations, record-sets, and types of documents? In this session, we will explore features of the FamilySearch Wiki and why it should be in your toolbox. We will examine Wiki search techniques, the purpose of the Wiki, notifications of changes, how you can adopt a page, and how to contribute your expertise to make the Wiki a more robust tool to help genealogists. FamilySearch is not the only Wiki out there; we will also look at more specialized Wikis that offer guidance with more advanced questions.
