Topic: “Finding Your Lost British Ancestors” presented by Derek Blount
Description: A review of some of the many British records now available online and how to find them with examples of each of these records. Civil, military and parish records are discussed.

Presenter Bio: Derek J. Blount is a professional genealogist with his own business, “Lost Branches”. He has worked for 35 years on his family genealogy traveling America, Canada and United Kingdom gathering records, visiting cemeteries and churches. Derek was born in England and specializes in research in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth nations. He holds a B.S. degree from Oakland University and has completed course work at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburg.
The Western Wayne County Genealogical Society meets on the third Monday of each month, September through May with the exception of December for the Membership Meeting, followed by a forum/social discussion and feature presentation.
